Mark Adams is a photographic artist who was born in Birmingham, England, in 1971. He has worked as a freelance photographer since graduating from Anglia Polytechnic University with a B.A Honors in the Graphic Arts in 1995. During this time he produced cover images for fiction titles for various authors including William Trevor, Paul Auster and E M Forster. In 2001 he received a Masters degree in Communication Art and Design from the Royal College of Art.

Since moving to California, in 2002, the focus of his photography has moved towards street photography, architecture and color landscape photography influenced by the work of the New Topographic Landscape photographers. Working primarily in a documentary mode, Marks images investigate the narrative potential of photography by exploring the many facets of modern living and its effect on the environment.

Mark has exhibited in various galleries and museums in the United States and England. His work has been published in various publications, including Next Level and the Independent Newspaper and is currently represented by Millennium Images and Imagestate Picture Library.
